This was the ST episode where a pair of neighboring planets waged war by computer in the ultimate “cold war.” Rather than pummel each other with missiles and bombs, they simply sent messages through their computers declaring what targets their simulations had hit, and the unfortunate “casualties” would then report to disintegration chambers.
If you compare the Eminiar weapons to the classic Klingon weapons, you will notice that the bodies are very similar in design. In fact, the Eminiar sidearm came first and was later dressed up with a fancier barrel and small scope to make the classic Klingon disruptor.
